Guards are usually mounted to a wall. If you have special instructions regarding your guard, the drawing illustrates what we consider height, width, depth, front and top.
Measuring your existing guard
Measure the inside dimension of the wires to ensure full clearance of the object being covered.
You may be required to rotate your guard to fit your object. Height and width are interchangeable on nearly all of our guards. Guards with a conduit spacer can still be rotated but may not fit over your conduit.
Measuring your object
Measure your Height and width and depth of your object. These are the dimenisons you will enter in to the "Height, Width, Depth" section of the Guard Finder.
Remember that you'll need to allow for some clearance around your object. This padding can vary from an one inch up to 6 inches depending on the size of your guard. Enter your desired padding in the Guard Finder.
